At the beginning of August, the traditional central manifestation of victory, pride, freedom and unity “Ljuta greda 2023” was held at Ljuta greda on the Vlašić mountain, organized by veterans’ associations from the Travnik area. Although without an official opening, the 18.5-meter high monument – the lily, was named after the legendary commander of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mehmed Alagić and carries with it a lot of symbolism and messages, as it was pointed out at the time, to both friends and those who are not.

However, the tribute to General Alagić does not end there. Namely, the mayor of Travnik, Kenan Dautović, published several photos on his Facebook profile showing the ongoing preparations for raising a mast and flag in honor of this general on top Jazz Weekly Mega Package of the Vlašić mountain.

“Preparations for the mast and flag of the late General Alagić. Elevation 1928 and when finished it will be at 1,944 meters above sea level. Right next to the repeater on Paljenik. Together with Ljuta gredo and Galica, they will form a true complex of victory and pride. Welcome”, said Dautovič.

By the way, the highest peak of Vlašić is Paljenik with an altitude of 1,943 meters, while the Vlašić plateau is located at an altitude of 1,300 meters. There is also a television repeater tower on Paljenik. Vrh Paljenik, as well as the entire area of ​​the Vlašić mountain, is characterized by the presence of endemic, relict, and cornhole rule endangered species of plants.
